The holiday season is a time for giving and community, and this year, generous support from the Australian Neighbourhood Houses and Centres Association, via their Support Stronger Communities Grant Round 15, and the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust via their Christmas Grant Round is helping to make a meaningful difference.
The annual Christmas initiative, Leave No One Behind This Christmas is in full swing with the Australian Neighbourhood Houses and Centres Association grant awarded to OHCC, which is being used to provide essential Food Relief through Free Food Hampers to individuals and families within the community who are in need, especially during the crucial festive period. Through this heartwarming program, OHCC will distribute over 500 hampers filled with essential items and festive treats to community members and families in need.
Running from late November to mid-December 2024, this initiative aims to ensure that no one in our community feels forgotten during the holidays. The hampers provide not only practical support but also a sense of hope and inclusion for those facing hardship.
The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust via their Christmas Grant Round has ensured that OHCC together with other Brisbane Charities have received much needed funds and toys for families in need over the festive season.
These initiatives embodies the spirit of giving, compassion, and unity. It underscores the collective effort to ensure that no one is left behind, and that every individual has the opportunity to celebrate the holiday season with the joy and nourishment that it brings.
