Flexible Accommodation Solutions

Open Hands Community Care offers both STA, Respite  and MTA service, imparting secure, customised accommodation away from home. Our comprehensive services are designed to address a diverse range of needs, spanning from behavioural issues to personal care, clinical support, 24/7 assistance, and complex support requirements and more.

As a NDIS respite provider in Brisbane, we provide fully furnished, accessible houses to ensure convenience and comfort for individuals and families. Our self-contained, modern houses across South-East Queensland are fully furnished with 3 or 4 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms with open living and furnished communal areas. Our homes are situated close to public transport, shops and amenities. They are also fully accessible to suit individual needs.

Under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Short Term Accommodation (STA) offers temporary supported accommodation for 2 weeks at a time. This is covered through the Core funding of NDIS plans, ensuring continued support for participants and their carers during times when caregiving duties are temporarily unfeasible.

Medium Term Accommodation (MTA), alternatively known as transitional accommodation, serves NDIS participants preparing for a more permanent home. NDIS provides funding for Medium Term Accommodation for eligible participants for a duration of up to 90 days, supporting a smooth transition into a stable living arrangement.

What's Included in our STA/MTA Housing?

Our STA and MTA housing provides comfortably furnished homes with 3 or 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and communal spaces, located near transportation and services and available to all. Our comprehensive offerings include fresh and nutritious meals throughout the day, round the clock uninterrupted 24/7 care, Access to both medical and community nursing support, counselling and psychosocial services, specialised aid coordination, Assisted transport services for seamless mobility and support for disability employment.

For those not eligible for NDIS respite providers in Brisbane, we provide private rental-supported housing customised to individual needs. We’re committed to guiding you through every step, bridging any gaps in services along the way.

Open Hands Community Care understands the importance of providing comprehensive Housing Support to individuals with diverse needs.
